To investigate potential contamination at a current or former dry-cleaning site, SCHUTZE & Associates, Inc. will conduct a Phase II Subsurface Investigation. The purpose of the Phase II Investigation is to determine if leaks from the on-site usage and storage of dry-cleaning solvents have caused environmental impacts. Based on the findings of the Investigation, SCHUTZE & Associates, Inc. will generate a Phase II report with recommendations for the next steps.
SCHUTZE & Associates, Inc. will provide a Corrective Action Plan (CAP) for dry-cleaner sites requiring remediation. Remediation of a contaminated site may include:
- Further Investigation of the vertical and lateral extent of soil and groundwater contamination
- Perform a permanganate demand study
- Injection of chemical compounds to remediate the contamination
- Installation of monitoring wells to monitor the progress of the site remediation
